Spring allergy season skin care for normal/dry skin

Now summer is slowly approaching and my spring allergy seems to come to the end. I'd like to share with you guys the stuff that I've been using to help me get through the past several weeks.

Keep in mind that spring here in East coast Canada the temperature is still chilling sometimes (4-5° C at night and low teens during the day this April-May). My skin is at normal to dry condition. Most of the products that I mention here are aimed for sensitive type skin and the rest seem to be working fine for my stressed but not sensitive skin.

  • Bioderma Sensibio H2O cleansing water/micellar water

During the allergy season a rarely wear full makeup, sometimes I skipped the eye makeup all together.  So micellar water works perfectly fine to remove whatever is on my face before washing. Besides Bioderma, I also use micellar water from Caudalie, Nuxe, Marcelle*.

  • Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

A gentle cleanser for both face and body.

  • Philosophy Miracle Worker Anti-aging lactic acid cleanser & mask

I received a deluxe sample from Topbox.ca and really liked it. This is not a product specifically for sensitive type skin, but a lot of times I use it in the shower to cleans the face (in alternative to Cetaphil cleanser) and leave it for 5 mins to give an extra moisture boost.

The funny thing is I can't seem to buy this product from the "legitimate" sellers: Sephora , both online and in store, do not sell this product individually. The nearest Hudson's Bay and Shoppers Drug Mart do not carry Philosophy products. Even at Philosophy.com, which says they ship internationally, does not allow me to enter Canadian address!
So I finally looked up Amazon.ca, surprisingly there is a seller carrying this cleanser/mask at a discount price. The order also arrived with many Philosophy samples. So if you are interested in this cleanser/mask, do check out Amazon.ca!

  • Naruko Taiwan Magnolia Brightening and Firming Whitening Lotion EX
  • Naruko Taiwan Magnolia Brightening and Firming Mask EX

The Naruko Taiwan Magnolia line is not for sensitive skin type, but I find it very soothing and provide good hydration.

  • Bioderma Sensibio AR Anti-Redness cream
I use this cream on the dry days to give extra moisture for my skin.

I actually do not use it at a regular bases, as I find it's firm effect is minimal compared to the ones that I usually use.  However it is quite soothing and does give enough moisturization to the skin around my eyes.

  • The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask

This is the only scrubbing, deep cleansing product that I use during the entire allergy season. I use it all year round!

Enjoy the summer!
